Strategic to leverage the country's growth, ports face a major challenge to keep up with the growth of foreign trade. Container and truck monitoring systems with RFID are already a reality in the country, particularly in the port of Santos, the largest in Latin America. Active tags identify and manage the movement of people, vehicles and containers. Other applications include access control via RFID, a fundamental part of the ISPS Code system, adopted worldwide as a security measure against terrorism.
