Chaired by the executive Sergio Borriello, Pernambucanas knew how to modernize and quickly embraced digitalization, offering an innovative digital platform for customer relations and financial products, with application, online shopping, tablet (100% digital credit granting in 7 minutes), instant card issuance, digital service and free Wi-Fi in all stores.

Following its path of always innovating, Pernambucanas has already embraced in 2019 the RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) and, to demonstrate its commitment to the adoption of this technology, which has become one of the fundamental strategies for growth, cost reduction and operational efficiency, has assembled a super team of executives, including Bruno RSV Pizzoni, Guilherme Barbosa, José Carlos Cipriano and Marcio Gomes, in addition to other great professionals recruited and trained internally.



ACURA Technologies was part of the project since the beggining, by providing portable RFID readers (SLEDs BTL-1000). And then, in the midst of the pandemic, we worked to automate the distribution center of Araçariguama with RFID tunnels (ACURA AT-1000) and portals(equipped with Impinj R-700 reader and ACURA antennas), which have been operating since 2021.

Now, in 2022, Pernambucanas stays on track with this objective, expanding its scope of adoption of RFID and collecting the rewards of its boldness and perseverance (since the project was active during the pandemic) of its great professionals who, with the support of the board of directors and their service providers, became an international case study for RFID in retail and supply chain!
