The Sentry PCB Tag is a low-profile, passive UHF RFID tag based on PCB technology, offering an exceptional size-to-performance ratio. Designed for demanding environments, it occupies minimal space while delivering excellent read range, even in compact form factors, with minimal impact on the tagged asset.

Thanks to its ultra-low-profile design, the Sentry PCB Tag is highly resistant to displacement caused by rough handling, making it ideal for use on hand tools, weapons, small metal assets, and industrial components.

Its robust construction provides high resistance to impact, vibration, extreme temperatures, and chemical exposure, and features an IP68 ingress protection rating. The tag can also be easily adapted for applications involving overmolding, spray coating, or direct metal embedding.

The HID Sentry product line is built on a highly reliable printed circuit board platform, ensuring exceptional consistency and stability in read range performance. At the core of the tag is a fiber-reinforced composite material that delivers inherent durability. Its innovative, patented design enables rapid prototyping and cost-effective customization, meeting the evolving requirements of RFID-enabled industries.

Selected models are available with the optional Sentry Pro version, featuring a reinforced design and high-performance adhesive capable of withstanding more than 1,000 autoclave sterilization cycles at approximately 280 °F. An enhanced polyimide substrate option is also available, increasing the maximum supported temperature of Sentry Pro tags to 464 °F.

The Sentry Instrument variant offers an ultra-low-profile form factor, specifically optimized for long metal tools, such as medical instruments and scissors. In addition, e-Module transponders provide high-frequency (HF) coils housed in a robust enclosure, designed to withstand high-temperature manufacturing processes and specialized finishing applications.
