The OMNIKEY® 5427CK reader can be used on virtually any computer, regardless of operating system and use case, the reader's CCID or Keyboard Wedge interfaces provide the ideal solution without the need to install drivers. The platform offers a secure, standardized, independent and flexible solution based on Secure Identity Object (SIO), a new credentials methodology. Thanks to its keyboard emulation functionality, card data can be obtained and transformed for direct input into applications using keyboard emulation, therefore eliminates the need to manually enter card data into applications, includes web-based management tool that allows intuitive navigation. The OMNIKEY® 5427CK includes support for a wide range of low and high frequency cards, including HID Prox®, Indala® and EM Prox®, MIFARE® Classic, MIFARE DESFire® EV1, EV2 and iCLASS®, as well as iCLASS SE®, iCLASS ® Seos™, iCLASS® Elite and other SIO-enabled credentials.
- Dual frequency: simultaneously supports low-frequency (125 kHz) and high-frequency (13.56 MHz) cards, including iCLASS;
- Mobile access: Available with a Bluetooth interface to read HID Global mobile credentials for accessing computers, networks, data, or the cloud;
- Compatible with Seos® and iCLASS SE® platforms;
- Ease of use: Direct use of existing access control credentials for PC login in CCID and Keyboard operating modes;
- Keyboard emulation: Reads data from a card and presents the information directly to any application by emulating a keyboard.
