RFID technology was implemented at the TRE-BA and TRE-PA (Regional Electoral Courts of Bahia and Pará) to expedite the identification, location, and registration of asset movement, as well as to assist in the maintenance and control procedures of electronic voting machines. With the solution, it was possible to increase productivity and improve the management level of the areas involved, ensuring the availability of UHF RFID devices of this technology and allowing the modernization of processes related to the control of IT assets and the management of the maintenance of electronic voting machines in their area of operation, in a sustainable and competitive way, with excellence in customer service.
In addition, the adoption of RFID technology brought greater precision to the tracking of voting machines throughout the operational cycle, from storage to transportation to the electoral zones. The reduction of manual errors, combined with quick access to information from each piece of equipment, allowed the technical teams to act more strategically and preventively. As a result, the Regional Electoral Courts of Bahia (TRE-BA) and Pará (TRE-PA) now have more secure, transparent, and efficient processes, reinforcing the reliability of operations and directly contributing to the organization and smooth running of elections in their regions.

Electronic Voting Machine Management Solution with RFID
The Regional Electoral Court of Bahia and Pará faced significant challenges in its logistics processes, especially in the control and disposal of electronic voting machines, processing of receiving and loading orders, as well as difficulties in planning the stages of movement and maintenance of the equipment. To modernize these procedures and increase efficiency, a solution based on RFID technology was implemented using the UHF M6 reader, compact monostatic antennas, and UHF 300U data collectors, allowing for more precise and automated management of the assets involved.
The developed solution included the creation of an Integrated Management System accompanied by a Web Portal, capable of centralizing and making strategic information available in real time. Through the inventory module installed on the collectors, it became possible to operate items by location, perform transfers, locate a specific PPE with the Tag Mask function, and even apply automatic blocks to items classified as Black List, triggering sirens and light alerts when detecting improper movements. This automation transformed previously manual and slow activities into fast, secure, and highly reliable processes.
The Web Portal began offering administrative and logistics areas immediate access to detailed data on the control, maintenance, and movement of electronic voting machines, eliminating the need for spreadsheets, scattered queries, or parallel systems. With consolidated information and updated technological mechanisms, the teams responsible for managing the voting machines and other IT assets gained a much higher level of efficiency and accuracy, significantly reducing operational failures, speeding up audits, and increasing security at all stages of the process.
As a result, the implementation of the Integrated Management system brought significant improvements, preventing human errors in the control and removal of voting machines, accelerating the logistics flow, and ensuring greater accuracy in inspections and maintenance activities. The solution allowed the TRE-BA and TRE-PA to operate more safely, quickly, and in an organized manner, strengthening the reliability of operations and directly contributing to excellence in service and election preparation in their regions.
