Tolls and Urban Mobility

Case Free Flow

ANTT and CCR RioSP begin implementing the first Free Flow system on federal highways

The Free Flow system replaces traditional toll booths and allows for a completely seamless trip, without stops or speed reductions near charging points, i.e., without barriers.

There are two ways the system works: one is through reading an RFID tag previously installed on the windshield, while the other is through reading the vehicle's license plate. In the first case, the toll fee will be charged directly to the tag operator's bill, with the benefit of a discount provided for frequent users.
