Any device that requires maintenance (either preventive or corrective) and periodic calibration is susceptible to the use of RFID for batch (offline) control or online maintenance history of elevators, copiers, printers, valves, automobiles, trucks, machines, instruments measuring instruments, aircraft, boats, etc. Normally equipped with storage memory, these tags of various formats are read and programmed by portable RFID readers that can be connected in real time or even operated in batch mode.
