RFID systems have a very fertile field for large-scale use in oil companies, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) distributors and special (atmospheric) gas producers. We can highlight the use of tags to identify control valves, equipment, assets such as gas cylinders in addition to the use of active tags in platforms of prospection for monitoring people and in the control of material movement. In some cases, it is necessary to use RFID readers approved for use in environments with a risk of explosion.
